Studio Canal Announces Plans to Release More Than Thirty Titles on HD DVD in 2006
PARIS, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ — Studio Canal today announced its plans to release thirty popular movies using the HD DVD format in 2006. The titles available will come from one of the largest worldwide library and will be available in 5 European countries, including: France, UK, Germany. Studio Canal will release those HD DVD to provide a better quality movie experience to consumers.
Studio Canal plans to add advanced interactivity features to these titles through the use of the HD DVD format’s iHD interactivity layer and will use the VC-1 video compression format to ensure the best video quality.
