Chance to Win! size="2">
Are you an American Idol® fan? Is your TiVo® box connected to
your home network? Then get that remote ready and go to "Music, Photos,
& More" for a chance to win one of 101 fun prizes in our Idol
Speculation Sweepstakes. Weekly drawings commence with cool TiVo merchandise
(10 winners per week) and end with the mother of all Grand Prizes, if
we do say so ourselves: a Limited-Edition TiVo® Series3™ HD Digital
Media Recorder (the minute it hits shelves later this year). Now pick
yourself up off the floor already so you know what to do: size="2">
- If you haven’t already, connect your TiVo® Series2™ box to
your home network (And really, I’ve been telling you this for far too
long now!). - From TiVo Central, select Music, Photos & More.
- Select the menu item titled "Idol Speculation" and make
your prediction for who goes home each week!
You can make your predictions every week, before each Wednesday 3pm ET (noon
PT) deadline. Simply select whom you think America will send home next.
And get this: You don’t even have to guess right. Just for "playing,"
you’ll be automatically entered in the weekly drawing (one entry per DVR
per week). And each week you play, you’ll be entered an additional time
in the drawing for that Grand Prize TiVo® Series3™ HD DMR! Before
the results show airs on Wednesday night, check the TiVo
Blog for the results of the TiVo Idol Speculation poll, and weekly contest
winners. The "Idol Speculation" sweepstakes began on 3/13/06 (which
means yes, the first weekly drawing is already over), and continues for
11 weeks total, as American Idol goes through the Top 12 finalists. For
a complete list of prizes, terms and conditions, go to http://www.tivo.com/idolspeculation

"I’ve always had sort of an ironic view of life. My belief system is
that when this is over, it’s over. That you don’t look down from heaven
and wait for your loved ones to join you. There may be some soul activity,
but I’m not sure about that. But what I am sure about is that your molecules
continue and in due time become something else. That’s science." —

the irreverent History Channel documentary "How
William Shatner Changed the World" which features the actor examining
the ways "Star Trek" technology inspired real-life innovators.
The show kicked off the network’s "Out of This World" week (which
is this week), featuring explorations of comets, meteors and UFOs. size="1"> size="1">

Yet another cool thing headed your way! And only from
TiVo: TiVo
KidZone.
Think of it as a personalized TV "area" where kids will always
find the best quality programming YOU deem appropriate–whenever you turn
on the TV (live or recorded): YOU get to choose the kind of shows you
find "family-friendly," evaluating programs based on YOUR family’s
interest, not just the ratings system. KidZone also keeps the parent’s
Now Playing List separate from the kids’. (See…we hear your feature
requests!)
And there’s more: TiVo has partnered with leading national organizations
to help you discover, select, and record the best of kids’ TV with
your TiVo® remote. I could go on and on, but you’ll see why
parents say "Yay!" when you read it yourself. TiVo KidZone will
begin rolling out mid-year to subscribers with a TiVo Series2 box and
is included at no additional cost as part of the standard TiVo service.
Excited as we are? Give
us your e-mail and we’ll keep you in-the-know on TiVo KidZone as news
unfolds.

Brothers Keenen Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans, of "Scary Movie"
and "In Living Color" fame, have created a series of animated
children’s shows called "Thugaboo." The series of three specials
will premiere in August on Nickelodeon, then air on the network’s all-animation
channel, Nicktoons. "Thugaboo" follows the misadventures of
nine kids growing up in the inner city. The first episode will have a
back-to-school theme, the second on the holidays and the third, called
"Don’t Judge a Boo by its Cover," addresses how appearances
can be misleading, "As a parent, I think it’s important for kids
to have a source of entertainment that deals with life in positive and
comedic ways," said Keenen Ivory Wayans.
