TiVo Announces First Standalone Dual Tuner Product, the TiVo Series2 DT DVR

TiVo, the creator of and a leader in television services for digital video recorders (DVRs), announced today the launch of the TiVo® Series2™ DT DVR. Available at retail beginning May 1, the TiVo Series2 DT is the first standalone dual tuner DVR with the award-winning TiVo® service and features.

    This is just what I wanted. I don’t need all of those new features on the S3 coming out. Hummm maybe I can sell the two I have and get this one.

    So this means I can split my coax and get two shows recorded at once?

    Two analog cable shows at once, or one digital cable show or satellite show (with an external cable box or satellite receiver) and one analog cable show.

    Just not two digital shows at once, and no antenna or HD – that’ll be the Series3.
