I’d never heard of ‘One True Media’ until TiVo’s recent announcement of a partnership to allow access to OTM content via the TiVo. Well, I guess OTM is getting some industry attention:

NBC Universal Chooses One True Media to Power Online Video Creation for TV and Web

With iVillageLive.com and One True Media, Viewers Can Contribute to the National TV Show and Be a Star

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ — One True Media (www.onetruemedia.com), an online video service that helps people turn their photos, video and music into online videos, announced today that NBC Universal has chosen One True Media to power viewer video creation and submission for the newly announced “iVillage Live” (M-F, 12:00 pm ET/PT) daytime talk show. “iVillage Live” is a new form of interactive talk show in which viewers can become the stars. “iVillage Live” is available simultaneously on air, online and in front of a live studio audience and launches today on NBC owned and operated stations, Bravo and www.iVillageLive.com.

“Everyone has a story to tell and more and more they want to tell it through pictures and video. By integrating One True Media with the ‘iVillage Live’ website, we are giving consumers everywhere the ability to tell their story with video and see it on TV,” said Mark Moore, CEO, One True Media. “We are excited to be working with NBC to give their viewers the chance to star on the big screen in their own living room, or just have fun critiquing those who do!”

“iVillage Live” is the first interactive daytime talk show that lets viewers direct the action through live chat, daily polls and comments as well as video submissions,” said Steve Schwaid, SVP of News & Programming for NBC Universal Stations. “Working with One True Media assures us that our viewers will have a fun, easy experience participating in the show and on the site, sharing their stories with the ‘iVillage Live’ community.”

“iVillage Live” will encourage viewers to submit their own videos and commentary around topics on the show, such as parenting, fitness and entertaining.

One True Media’s video creation process requires no software downloads so with a few clicks of the mouse to upload photos and video, iVillage members will be off and running. Once completed, users can submit their video to the “iVillage Live” production staff or post them on www.ivillagelive.com in many of the compelling forums. “iVillage Live” staff will inform viewers if their video has been accepted onto the show.

One True Media also enables consumers to share their video creations by emailing them to friends, posting on popular video sites such as YouTube, Google Video, and MySpace, and even sending them to friends and family through TiVo for TV viewing. Additionally, consumers can purchase high quality personalized DVDs of their videos and a wide variety of products featuring their photos, such as books, mugs, posters, magnets and puzzles.
