Purchase an 80-hour S2DT for $99.99 or a 180-hour S2DT for $199.99 from TiVo.com (both $150 off MSRP) and receive a free factory renewed (aka refurbished) TiVo USB WiFi adapter (a $39.99 value) and an additional $15 instant discount at checkout. (Which the offers words as“to be used toward movie downloads on Amazon Unbox on TiVo.” But it looks like your on the honor system to use it thusly.) So the total savings is $204.99.
The offer includes free shipping and, like all new TiVo purchases, requires product activation. The offer is good through July 23, 2007.
It’s a decent offer. You might save a bit buying a refurbished S2DT. Amazon is selling the 80-hour S2DT for $227.99
and the 180-hour S2DT for $298.88
There is a $150 rebate available on both, bringing the prices down to $77.99 and $148.88, respectively. (Note, the Amazon product pages currently list the rebate as $170. This is wrong! I’ve already emailed them about that.) The TiVo WiFi adapter sells for $41.88
, so the total costs are lower through the TiVo special. Though, if you plan to use Ethernet and not WiFi, it is cheaper to just buy the box from Amazon, or the refurb deal.
