Sling Media is running another contest – this time with some real money at stake – $10,000! The catch – you need to be 21, funny, and be willing to show your talent and allow the public to vote. From the contest site:
The Slingbox is a device that lets you watch your home TV, live through the Internet on your cell phone or laptop. We thought it would be interesting to see what stand up comics might have to say about the Slingbox. So, we developed a contest that’s pretty simple: write a bit about the Slingbox, record a video of it, and then post the video here on www.standupandsling.com. Then, we’ll let the public vote on which video is the funniest. The winner will receive $10,000 and a chance to headline at the Improv in Hollywood (we’ll pay for travel too). The first 50 people to post videos will receive a free Slingbox.
You must be at least 21 years old to enter the site.
So go for it! The contest ends October 8, 2007 – so don’t wait too long. Me – I’m not funny and I don’t like cameras, so I’ll be sitting this one out.
