PlayTeeVee, the company which brings free game to TiVo, has added gamer tags to their application, which they (of course) call the ‘TeeVeeTag’. They also managed to start a blog when I wasn’t looking.
They dropped this press release to announce the new feature:
PlayTeeVee introduces the ‘TeeVeeTag’
San Francisco, Oct. 15, 2007
PlayTeeVee – The Free Gaming Service For Your TiVo – introduces the “TeeVeeTag”, a new feature that allows TiVo users to enhance their PlayTeeVee experience. Using a simple and intuitive interface (accessible through the ‘service’ button on the main screen) users can customize their profile, check messages and see how they rank against other PlayTeeVee users.
Amongst other things, the TeeVeeTag will also be used for users to identify themselves to other players on the PlayTeeVee network, paving the way for multiplayer games. A new line-up of games taking full advantage of this feature will be announced later in the year.

My ‘TeeVeeTag’ is MegaZone (of course) – but I admit I am unlikely to be a high-scorer.
